Cokebusters USA is a leading Mechanical service and NDT Inspection company working across multiple energy sectors, based out of Houston Texas.

Cokebusters USA Inc. requires a full-time Shop helper for its established premises in Houston. The right candidate will also receive specialist training as a Cokebusters decoking operator and will be required to attend regular work sites throughout the USA and possibly the world!

The shop helper will work as a part of a growing team, to assist in maintaining Cokebusters Specialist Equipment in-house.

In conjunction within house maintenance & fabrication works the employee will attend regular site works as a trained decoking operator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.25- per hour @ Workshop / Up to $460 per shift on-site locations as decoking Operator

Hours: Monday – Friday 8hr days

Workshop duties:

Key Workshop Responsibilities

• Assist skilled employees in performing their duties
• Performs routine basic machine lubricating and cleaning and support maintenance staff during planned preventative maintenance programs
• Operate under close supervision a range of hand and power tools to assist skilled employees in cleaning/preparing/disassembling/assembling as instructed components and products for further processing
• Perform various physical activities such as general housekeeping duties to keep all areas clean and tidy and material handling duties by assisting in sorting, identifying, tagging, and storing parts and components
• Support the supply chain function by assisting in the unloading/loading of materials parts and components and preparing, packaging and palletising parts and components
• Comply with all company OSHA policies, practices, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
• Contribute to the team ethic and perform all other reasonable duties as required in support of the business and required to work offsite in support of business activities
• Ability to inspect parts against complex engineered drawings
• Keen eye for attention to detail
• High standards of work are a must

On-Site Duties

Cokebusters USA predominantly operates throughout the USA & Canada. The right candidate will be willing to travel for short periods of time to various jobsites as a trained decoking operator. On site duties operate on a 12-hour shift rotation.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities, Skills, Experience, and Requirements

• Successful candidate will typically have 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Ability to assist with workshop fabrications
• Ability to work to wiring diagrams
• Basic product knowledge (understanding of how work ties into the larger picture) based on departmental need/requirement
• Knowledge of and ability to use hand tools
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers
• Ability to effectively work in team environment
• Awareness and adherence to Lock Out Tag Out procedures (Training provided)
• Ability to follow company operating procedures, safety rules and ISO requirements
• Some understanding of welding & fabrication would be helpful although not essential
• TWIC card eligibility is essential
• Successful candidate must pass a drug screening & background check

Place of employment:

• Shop work will take place at the company premises at 6748 Theall Road Houston 77066.
• The successful candidate must be willing to travel and attend site operations, both in the United
• States and overseas. Such site operations are of short duration, normally not exceeding 1-2 weeks.
