As a Shop Hand, you will be asked to properly and efficiently perform all wireline service shop duties as directed by senior and supervisory personnel.
- Quality control of all subs and associated equipment and use good judgment on all assembly aspects.
- Maintain inventory of all associated equipment supplies used.
- Documents explosives used for building by type, name, net explosive weight and date shift code
- Constructs perforating guns using and connecting gun bodies, detonator cord, charges, igniters, switches and wires.
- Checks perforating guns for proper current and usability
- Load carriers as specified by procedure
- Inventories materials, tools, and supplies as needed
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment
- Performs other routine duties as assigned by your supervisor
- Ensure compliance with DOT and ATF guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Ability to pass a Federal background check
- Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are preferred
- Promotes safety awareness and ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work and communicate well with customers and employees
- Must be reachable via telephone 24 hours a day when in an “on call” status. Must report to work within 30 minutes of notification and work at well sites for extended periods of time
