The Corporate Communications team is looking for a Public Affairs intern to join us! We handle public relations, and internal and external communications, and support the messaging needs of teams across all functions within the company. Our ideal candidate is an intellectually curious team player who can communicate clearly and shows a willingness to learn.
You will gain practical experience developing corporate content and working with cross-functional collaborators to accomplish a variety of goals.
Your Responsibilities
- Help develop content for Shipt's newsroom, news social media, and internal communications channels
- Support our internal content creation by helping with the company intranet, newsletters, content calendars, and enterprise-level messaging
- Provide media relations assistance by writing first-draft press releases, first-draft newsroom articles, building media lists, and helping with local media pitches
- This position will rotate to provide support for Shipt's Corporate Communications, Consumer Communications, Product, Business, Technology, and Public Affairs teams as needed

This is a paid internship opportunity for Summer 2024. Our program will run for 10 weeks, beginning on Monday, June 3, 2024, and ending on Friday, August 9, 2024. Full program participation is required of all interns. Interns are expected to maintain a consistent full-time work schedule throughout their internship.
