Essential Job Functions
- Work will involve one or more of the following: knowledge of various items of stock to verify content selection of appropriate type and size of container; using appropriate packing material to prevent breakage or damage; closing and sealing container; and applying labels or entering identifying data on container.
- Ability to use computer terminals to track product and/or print labels.
- Must have ability to read work orders to be able to fill and/or ship customer orders. Understand the type, size, and number of units to be packed, the type of container employed, and the method of shipment.
- Ability to use forklift to move and/or load and unload product.
- Perform other duties (essential or marginal) as assigned.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- High school diploma/GED
- Experience in a fast-paced assembly or packing environment preferred (but will train)
- Not pose a direct threat to health or safety of oneself or others
- Promote and adhere to WWP’s safety standards, procedures, and training, including all OSHA standards.
- Promote and adhere to WWP’s quality standards, procedures, inspections, work instructions, and ISO procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (such as alarms, vehicle horns, equipment parts in motion, and vehicles)
- Work indoors in a manufacturing plant environment, with exposure to: warm temperatures in the summer; machinery that generates noise and vibration, has moving parts, and is powered by electricity; excessive noise; and airborne metal particles.
