Monday through Friday, some weekends may be required.
2nd Shift: 2pm - 10pm, flexibility in end time is necessary.
Edible Garden Heartland grows and delivers organic culinary herbs, hydroponic produce, and floral assortments to the local region. The position requires knowledge of daily operations, shipping schedule, and strong attention to detail to ensure that Edible Garden is shipping out orders in full and to specifications along with keeping the warehouse clean and organized. This role works directly with the Production and Fleet Departments so strong communication skills are a must.
General Responsibilities:
- Ability to delegate multiple tasks between the team
- Understand shipping schedule, Purchase Orders, and BOL's
- Adhering to shipping requirements per customer
- Constant, clear communication with involved parties to inspect outgoing product and receiving feedback.
- Ensures that all Production/Shipping Logs are being completed correctly and timely manner.
- Food Safety knowledge of live herbs/floral storage and handling.
- Working with Production Supervisor in assigning trucks to load.
- Continuously review training with SRW Associates on best packing, shipping, and loading practices for safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
People management experience
Email literacy
English; Spanish is helpful but not required
Greenhouse / floral experience is a plus but not necessary.
Must have prior experience with Warehouse operations.
Operating hilo/forklift will be required at times.
