- Oversee and manage the receiving department, ensuring efficient and accurate receipt of goods
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory, monitor receiving processes, and generate reports
- Implement and improve receiving procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and distribution, to ensure smooth operations throughout the supply chain
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to unload and move incoming shipments as needed
```Skills```
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage receiving processes
- Experience in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in receiving operations
- Knowledge of 3PL (third-party logistics) practices and procedures
- Familiarity with shipping receiving operations in a distribution center environment
- Ability to operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of logistics principles and practices
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar leadership role is preferred
