Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Job Type: Full time; Consultant (24 months)
Pay Rate: 18.50
Schedule: 2nd shift (2p-10pm) Weekend Availability, DT on Sundays. Overtime Available
Summary:
- Receives shipment into applicable dock bay, or drop-off location.
- Duties involve inspection of shipment material (e.g., BOL), validation of quality control seal and cargo, and unloading of shipment material into warehouse, or staging area
General Responsibilities
• Respond to internal and external phone and email communications in a timely manner
• Collaborates and communicates with logistics supervisors, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment of products
• Troubleshoot issues arising from Shipping/Receiving or inventory handling
• Keep files of goods shipped and received
• Prioritize and route shipments and prepare picking documents
• Schedule freight pick up with service providers
• Monitor trailer arrival for shipments and prepare documentation
• Practice customer service when interacting with other companies and customers and see to it all external parties receive a positive interaction with the company
• Verify all incoming shipment receipts to be accurate by comparing the invoice to receipt
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
Key Qualifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork, collaboration and relationship management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency, self-initiative, and sense of ownership
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain focus on multiple priorities
• Experience working in SAP preferred
Education
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of related experience preferred (warehouse, manufacturing, administrative)
Pay Details: 18.50 per hour
