Job Description

This position is responsible for the overall inspections(incoming/outgoing/in-process) supports operation of the Quality System for the facility. The person reports to the Supply Chain Manager based in the Rhode Island Location of AIM Solder.

  • Performs Incoming inspection on materials and documentation from AIM sites or outside suppliers.
  •  Validate required export documentation for truck shipments.
  • Conducts in-process material inspections for the Specialty Department.
  • Investigate and resolve any shipping issues, claims and/or RMA's.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of all non-conformities.
  • Administer the formal corrective action system. Pursue resolution of identified system and process issues. Monitor corrective actions for timely completion. Advise Management on opportunities for improvement based on corrective action analysis.
  • Support production departments concerning shipping/quality issues, daily quality inspections.
  • Maintains documentation and reporting pertaining to the quality system.
  • Ensure documentation and certification of products is performed and accurate.
  • Manage the Location's equipment calibration systems.
  • Data entry of different quality customer's request/specifications.
  • Validate all IMO and Hazmat declarations.
  • Validate all documentation for hazardous material freight internationally by air or ocean.
  • Validates the cross checking of all shipping documentation-labels/FIFO/COA's/TDS/MSDS
  • Assists in the implementation of new processes/ internal KPI's.
  • Maintain continuity and ordnance in the Shipping/Receiving department.
  • Support the location in preparing for ISO 9001 audits and certification with the QA Director. 
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • 3-5 years' experience in the manufacturing industry in a similar role.
  • Good communication skills, team player.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and ERP systems;
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Available to work on flexible working hours when required.
  • Familiar with ISO9001 / ISO TS16949 / IATF16949 / Statistical process control
