The Shipping Specialist provides assistance to the Graphic Production Team by shipping, receiving and assisting with inventory of all incoming and outgoing goods (e.g. raw materials, finished goods) and organizing the distribution of graphic production jobs so that the company can meet its profitability goals.
JOB DUTIES:
• Prepares finished goods (e.g. signs, banners, shelf talkers) for shipping to other locations according to established standards.
• Organizes products and materials (e.g. equipment and raw materials) to facilitate storage and shipment for according to established company standards (e.g. items being stored safely).
• Assists in the preparation of POS materials using related equipment (e.g. printers, cutters, laminators) and assembles final materials according to standards.
• Performs print quality control and troubleshooting machinery issues on equipment as needed to ensure equipment is performing according to established standards.
• Organizes Production runs on Graphic Production equipment (e.g. FB700, Konica, Duplo, Zund G3 machines) and keeps updated quantity counts on jobs mid-production run to ensure jobs are produced correctly in a timely manner according to established standards.
• Prepares and coordinates all job ticket processes prior to shipments; updates shipment log (Sharepoint) and notifying appropriate personnel according to established standards.
• Communicates with co-workers, supervisor and management team verbally and in writing regarding the status of work activities (e.g. production process, receiving and shipping process) and other information; supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignment.
• Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws); wears all required personal protective equipment.
• Completes time-off requests, inventory logs, shipping logs, daily reports and other required paperwork according to established standards.
• Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent degree.
Experience: 1-3 years of previous inventory, shipping andreceiving experience required; minimum of 6 months Point of Sale productionexperience (e.g. preparation of banners, signs) strongly preferred.
Computer Skills: Must have working knowledge of MicrosoftOutlook, Word and Excel.
Certifications & Licenses: Must be able to be trained tooperate a forklift.
Other Requirements: Knowledge of: distribution environment;beverage industry preferred; inventory systems. Skill in: internal customerservice. Ability to: count accurately, decipher discrepancies and makecorrections, work quickly, independently and efficiently; multi-task;communicate effectively with other employees and develop good workingrelationships; adapt to change; read and write; perform basic math functions(e.g. addition and subtraction); obtain a forklift license; operate a forkliftand graphic design finishing equipment (e.g. printer, laminator,
electric cutter, binding equipment). Other functions, skillsand abilities may also apply.
