Job Summary

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for aspects of shipping activities for Aftermarket. It is preferred that the Shipper be knowledgeable with Freight Forwarding and U.S./ Foreign Customs brokerage activities to track and execute shipments successfully and on time. The Shipper will also need to be knowledgeable in hazmat packaging and shipping.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Responsible for shipping operations for all Cirrus Aftermarket outbound movements
• Responsible to maintain adequate flow of outbound hazardous and international shipments
• Investigate and solve issues related to shipping discrepancies
• Generate and maintain SOPs for packaging & shipping standards
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Package and ship hazardous materials in accordance with domestic and international regulations
• Generate paperwork for shipments going through freight forwarding companies
• Ability to cross-train in all warehousing activities to help when needed
• Use ERP system to process orders
• Maintain work area in a neat, organized, and clean manner at all times
• Work with inventory team when inaccuracies are discovered
• Work with Quality Assurance to correct any FAA 8130-3 forms

Other Specific Requirements

• Package & ship hazardous materials using proper labeling and documentation
• Set up freight BOL
• Handle basic international orders
• Maintain shipping records for international orders
• Assist new team members in training of tasks in the shipping area
• Ability to pass hazardous material training to obtain certification for shipping and handling
