Our company is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our growing team. FlexMation designs and fabricates custom workstations and enclosures out of Bosch Rexroth aluminum extrusions. This position will be responsible for pulling and prepping parts for assembly and packing all orders for shipment, as well as receiving incoming inventory and ensuring the quantities and items are accurate. The standard work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Forklift operator
· Basic usage of hand tools and power tools
· Comfortable with metric system; able to use a tape measure
· Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office applications and Quickbooks a plus
· Experience with Shipping and Receiving in a manufacturing environment
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs quality inspections on all incoming and outgoing products and materials
· Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles including but not limited to hand dolly, forklift and/or pallet jack
· Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures
· Maintains inventory in a strictly organized manner; conducts cycle counts and annual physical inventory count; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed
· Preps material needed for assembly (smooths sharp/rough edges; peels back plastic covering on poly, etc.) prior to staging for production
· Pulls inventory for production and stages appropriately, notifying purchasing of any discrepancies
· Pulls inventory for sales order fulfillment and notes any backorder quantities
· Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports, tracks email correspondence, and updates inventory in Quickbooks
· Maintains a clean and safe work area
· Identifies, documents and implements processes for continuous improvements
· Checks suppliers’ packing list counts and reports discrepancies and/or damage to carrier and Materials Manager
· Ensures that custom parts match prints and reports discrepancies to Materials Manager
· Packages material for shipment appropriately; builds pallets if needed
· Arranges pickups with a variety of carriers according to customers’ preferences
· Prepares bills of lading for shipments and records items loaded for shipment
· Loads/unloads trucks using a forklift and/or hand truck
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management

· Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used: Forklift, Pallet jack, Kaltenbach, Chop saw
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent
Forklift license
Inventory control: 3+ years
Shipping and Receiving in a warehouse setting: 3+ years
