Furniture manufacturer in Lewisville, TX is looking to add a self-motivatedCoordinator to their Shipping Department - This is an office position. This key role will be responsible for handling the day-to-day activities within a fast-paced manufacturing operation with the expectations of prioritizing tasks in order to meet business demand. This role is designed to push you beyond your comfort zone, multi-tasking and collaborating internally with other departments to ensure customer's requirements and deadlines are met. This position is interview based and maytake up to 1 week before receiving confirmation/time for interview.
*TEMP-TO-HIRE ROLE (ELIGIBILITY AFTER 90 DAYS)*
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Flexibility between 7am - 6pm)
Pay rate: Starting at $22/hr or more (Depending on experience)
Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Excel - will be used when completing internal reports for management and warehouse teams
- Oversee the shipping process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
- Preparing shipping documents - bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize orders and ensure proper inventory levels
- Utilize order fulfillment systems and software to track and manage shipments
- Perform quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and condition of products
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
- Customer service: handling calls/emails from multiple clients and transportation carriers to ensure smooth transit and being able to provide customer with solutions in case of last-minute issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- MUST PASS: DRUG TEST, BACKGROUND, E-VERIFY
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role (REQUIRED - at least 2 yrs)
- Previous experience in an office setting - this position will be in the office about 90% of the time, the remainder of the time will be spent collaborating with the warehouse staff
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely (NOT required but is a plus)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/clients
- The ideal candidate will be resilient, proactive and reliable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
