Form of workSHIPPING COORDINATOR–Conducts or coordinates detailed tasks of Logistics work. Performs work that involves conventional shipment of fifth wheels and fifth wheel products. May also perform a variety of Customer Service functions.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:
- Process packing slips, ASN’s and sequenced paperwork.
- Schedule pick-ups with transportation companies via phone or Internet.
- Process any bar code labels needed
- Communicate with “Customer Service” on orders and shipments.
- Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
- Shipping documentation preparation experience preferred.
- Ability to gain knowledge in applicable MRP computer systems.
- Good public presence and communication skills.
- Good phone etiquette.
- Flexible work schedule.
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is generally performed in office setting (80%), however some work in the factory may be required to gather information, take measurements, etc. (20%)
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, hear and frequently required to walk; use hands, reach, stoop, bend, twist, stand and occasionally will be required to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
