Position Overview
Provide administrative support to the warehousing operation, external customers, and business partners of the distribution center. This position will be effective at coordinating order requirements, organizing tasks, prioritizing workload, and providing timely communication to internal and external parties.
What you'll do
Listed below are some of the general duties considered necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. However, these shall not be construed as a detailed and complete position description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the job.
- Coordinate incoming calls and emails from customers, business partners and other divisions.
- Batch and release orders to the shop floor based on priority.
- Act as liaison between the operations and customer service to resolve issues / delays.
- Reconcile discrepancies in inventory and determine root cause.
- Coordinate and assist non-standard transactions when necessary.
- Process Credit/Debit and RGA requests.
- Responsible for all aspects of export shipments, including documentation
- Sends order entry, RGA, Credit and Debit confirmations to customers.
- Answers customer questions regarding price, scheduling, shipping and billing.
- Process and prepare necessary paperwork for hazardous materials shipments
Who you are
- A basic knowledge of the principals involved in general warehousing operations. Including but not limited to bill of lading, exports, imports, shipping documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert 1-2 years SAP ERP experience as end user, emphasis on WM / EWM functionality and/ or other extensive training in Sales and Distribution functionality
- Must be able to work in a goal oriented, team environment that promotes transparency and accountability.
- Must be able to successfully complete IATA/DOT Hazardous Materials Shipper Certification course
- Experience with SAP, EWM or other business ERP shipping applications
- Prior experience in import/export shipping process
