Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against the purchase orders
- Unload, unpack, and inspect all incoming materials and products
- Accurately record and document all received items
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or reach trucks to move and store materials
- Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock replenishment
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 is a plus
- Proficient in basic math skills for inventory management purposes
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or reach trucks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is beneficial
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
