Position Opportunity:
The Shipping & Receiving Technician verifies accuracy of customer parts received and shipped based off packing slip and customer purchase order. The Shipping & Receiving Technician reports inconsistencies of incoming purchase orders to the appropriate departments for resolution disposition. This position prepares items for shipment in the most economical and efficient shipping method.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Uses CRM and other IT systems/applications to receive customer parts and ship finished goods
- Verifies received and shipped parts against packing slips and purchase orders
- Unloads incoming materials using proper methods (Forklift ect.)
- Visually inspects received orders for inconsistencies or damage
- Prepares data pack and transposes data into CRM
- Prepares shipments for commercial shipping transport
- Perform general maintenance of equipment in the shipping area
- Conducts inventory of consumable packaging materials and requests stock fulfillment
- Updates production schedule with received and shipped orders
- Analyze and implement projects subject to the U.S. Export Control Laws which include, but are not limited to, 22 Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) Subchapter M, U.S. Department of Energy regulations found in 10 C.F.R. Part 10, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations found in 10 C.F.R. Part 110 and the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations found in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 et seq.
Other Duties / Responsibilities:
- Assist other technicians and departments as needed.
- Comply with all training, quality, compliance and safety policies, practices and procedures.
- All other responsibilities are assigned by the Lead or Manager.
Qualifications:
Education/Training/Certifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Related Experience:
1-2 years of related experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, documents, correspondence and memos
- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Dynamics CRM
- Ability to use digital camera to take incoming photos of hardware
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Use Pallet Jack/ Use of forklift
- Forklift License must be maintained
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Should be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
