MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Admissions Clinical Director (LCSW/LMSW) is a key member of the clinical management team, interfacing with program level, financial and clinical support staff.
The Admissions Clinical Director (LCSW/LMSW) is responsible for administration and oversight of outreach, access to care, screening, assessment and intake for OASAS certified services. She/he is responsible for developing and maintaining new and existent referent relationships and the implementing effective marketing strategies to meet or exceed utilization targets.
She/he is responsible for managing institutional risk associated with assigned areas of clinical operations and is responsible for delivery of care in accordance with applicable regulations and established policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures that all activities within assigned area of responsibility are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory standards, payers’ requirements and Odyssey House policies and procedures.
- Develops and monitors admissions processes and workflows, adjusts as necessary to maintain compliance and productivity.
- Assure that staff maintains accurate and confidential clinical records that comply with regulatory standards and internal policy and procedures.
- Engages with other continuum of care provider treatment and human service organizations and maintains productive referral relationships.
- Assure that all written cooperative service agreements and memorandums of understanding are updated annually and maintained in an accessible electronic file.
- Assures that all continuity of care issues are adequately addressed during intake with newly admitted patients.
- Consults with Program Directors and Senior Managers regarding specific patient access to care issues as needed.
- Meets all required benchmarked performance targets for program utilization.
- Assure that insurance reimbursement for assessment services meet established revenue targets.
- Responsible for all staff personnel actions, including recruitment, hiring, evaluation, promotion, disciplinary actions and separations within areas of responsibility.
- Assures that staff within area of responsibility are oriented to individual roles and responsibilities.
- Assures that staff within area of responsibility complete all assigned training.
- Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
- Provides direct supervision for designated staff as per Odyssey House policies.
- Prepare written annual evaluations on staff under his/her supervision.
- Assists with development, implementation, certification and accreditation of the Opioid Treatment Program.
- Participate quality management activities.
- Other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Master’s Degree in a behavioral health discipline and an advanced NYS behavioral health license required (LCSW/LMSW, Licensed Psychologist) required.
- Five (5) years of experience working in a supervisory capacity in an OASAS-certified treatment program, an OMH licensed Article 31 clinic or Hospital-based behavioral healthcare setting. Out-of-state experience in an accredited or single-state-agency licensed/certified program will be considered.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a senior direct care or supervisory capacity in an Opioid Treatment Program strongly preferred.
- Successful record of developing new business relationships.
- Expertise with LOCADTR 3.0 strongly preferred.
- Established record of meeting benchmarked utilization and financial targets.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Electronic Health Record applications.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, on-call availability is required.
