MCC is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsibilities:
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce the policies and procedures outlined in the employee manual
- Understand and support the Corporate Mission Statement, Values, Vision, and Operating Principles
- Adhere to and enforce mandatory safety requirements. Conduct safety observations and/or audits. Monitor and enforce all safety policies while looking for ways to improve
- Meet attendance standards.
- Practices and sustains Lean Manufacturing and 6S procedures.
- Oversee receiving, inventorying, and distribution of raw materials to the production floor.
- Oversee on time shipments of finished product to our customers. Company goal is 97% OTD.
- Plan and direct personnel and activities to ensure a high degree of efficiency in the entire warehouse area.
- Adjust personnel schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all production hours. Assess the need for overtime and layoffs.
- Striving for process improvement, create and revise systems and procedures utilizing the strengths and knowledge of the warehouse personnel.
- Assure that the production downtime due to lack of raw material at the production equipment is minimized and that the raw material inventory accuracy is high.
- Cross trained in Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handling functions to enable full participation in both areas for training, vacation coverage, etc.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with Management, Office, and Production personnel.
- Manage Lift Truck and Power Jack certification and recertification.
- Review and provide feedback to employees on an ongoing basis.
- Report and perform RCCM safety incident investigation.
- Resolve work complaints and or discuss complaints with Operations Support Manager.
- Along with Human Resources and the Operations Support Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible to handle any necessary disciplinary action to be taken on his or her employees.
- Enforce established safety and environmental policies and procedures. Recommend and implement changes in unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Conducts and participates in Kaizen events internal and external throughout MCC plants.
- Conducts team meetings with updates concerning expectations to meet KPI goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3-5 years shipping/receiving or warehouse experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a shipping/warehouse environment in a leadership role. Experience working with inventory control, tow motors and freight carriers a plus.
- Manage multiple projects with little supervision.
- Excellent problem solver. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Interpersonal skills; focuses on solving conflict, not blaming, maintains confidentiality, listens to others without interrupting, keeps emotions under control, remains open to others’ ideas and tries new things.
- Must be able to think independently and be assertive.
- Willingness to cross train in Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handling a must.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and MCC’s shipping & inventory control system.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
