Job Summary

In this position, under limited supervision the Shipping and Receiving Personnel will assist with planning, organizing, receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or customers.

Essential Duties

• Load and Unload materials
• Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with the company’s safety procedures
• Utilize forklifts to retrieve needed materials
• Ensure Shipping and Receiving reports accurately report material shipped or received
• Coordinate the movement of all material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner
• Assist with the rotation of inventories within the warehouse
• Adhere to all OSHA safety policies and regulations
• Attend and lead daily meetings as needed
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a technical school; or at least 5 years of combined experience and/or training
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in a written, oral, or diagram form
• Able to quickly learn basic knowledge of the company, products, manufacturing processes, and rules
• Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data
• Ability to operate machinery & the use of basic hand tools

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• While performing this job employee work involves walking and standing frequently
• Requires manual dexterity
• Frequently lift and or move 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
• Manufacturing Plant and Warehouse working environment

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
