Description
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Material Handler loads, unloads, and moves materials within the warehouse performing any combination of the following duties:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Move material to and from trucks plus within the factory.
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Perform cross-functional duties in support of other team functions.
• Work in a safe manner and report unsafe situations.
• Maintain accurate inventory in the warehouse BINS by appropriately utilizing scan gun procedures and participating in cycle counts and regular physical inventory counts.
• Safely operate a fork truck in the warehouse to organize inventory, unload incoming shipments and load outgoing shipments.
• Immediately identify and communicate damaged goods.
• Pick and stage customer orders in an efficient manner when needed.
• Receive inbound shipments validating items and quantities as itemized on packing slips, bills of lading, etc. utilizing scan gun procedures.
• Provide shipping paperwork to the Logistics Coordinator in a timely fashion.
• Support Customer Service and Warehouse team members by communicating when urgent shipment issues arise.
• Work with designated group/individual to ensure shipments are appropriately scheduled.
• Take initiative to contribute to the positive growth of the department and organization while being a positive and motivating team player.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Must comply with all safety protocols including proper usage of any/all necessary PPE for this position.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work within a diverse community.
• Good organizational skills.
• Fork truck experience Stand up.
• Ability to work independently maintaining high standards.
• Must be able to work overtime as/if needed.
• Exposure to outside elements during workday

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Previous experience working in a similar role.
• Previous exp with Forklift required.
• Inventory and cycle counting
• RF Scanner Gun.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Medium Work: Exerting up to (50-70) pounds for force occasionally, and/or up to (20-40) pounds of force frequently, and/or up to (10) pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Seeing:

• Must be able to read reports and use computer.

Hearing:

• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.

Standing/Walking/Mobility:

• Must be able to stand to operate a stand-up lift, mobility between departments.
• Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling.
• Lifting/Pulling/Pushing.
• Dexterity/Grasping/Feeling.
• Must be able to mop, sweep, pick up and carry items.
