Job Description
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of raw materials and chemicals against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Unload and stage incoming materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Pack, label, and palletize finished paper products according to customer specifications and shipping regulations.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks (may require certification).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Assist with inventory control and management.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including drivers, vendors, and customers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Shipping and Receiving or warehouse environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of basic warehouse and safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Valid forklift operator's certification preferred.
