CERTEX USA is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associateresponsible for Shipping, Receiving, Order Fulfillment and when needed, light delivery duties at our Lafayette, Louisiana branch. This role is multifaceted and is integral to ensuring that meet the demands of our customers efficiently.

About the position

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible primarily for the following shipping/receiving and fulfillment coordination activities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of items received against purchase orders.
  • Inspect received goods for quality and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling items for delivery.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with shipping regulations.
  • Coordinate with other team members to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized storage areas and ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with customer service to address order inquiries or issues promptly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and records.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend strategies for liquidation or disposal.
  • Monitor stock levels and anticipate demand to prevent shortages.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply management or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficient at math and reading
  • Must be persistent, energetic, and reliable
  • Proven experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clean driving record with a valid Class D (Chauffeurs) license or the ability to obtain a Class D license is required.
  • Ability to drive 1 Ton flatbed delivery vehicle.
  • Familiarity with UPS World Ship is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees. The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 75 pounds often. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Employee will use their hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. May use one or two hands and fingers to grasp, move or assemble objects or to use keyboard for data entry. Employee may work in extreme heat and cold temperatures in warehouse setting with dirt and dust.

Pay rate and Provisions:

  • Uniform for daily attire
  • Safety glasses and gloves
  • Work Boots (annually)
  • Starting pay is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Sign on Bonus
