We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our team. This role will manage the daily shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies within the Warehouse. The expected schedule is Monday - Friday, 10:30am - 7:00pm with some flexibility as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the shipment of all products, materials, and supplies through our ERP system.
- Diligently keeping notes/emails updated and organized at all times.
- Following up with customers via email or phone
- Help receive goods when needed and verify the quality and count of all items unloaded; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers and supervisor
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
- Collaborate and communicate with customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Promptly unload/load trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
- Maintain an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting
- Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provide additional backup support for Shipping and Receiving departments.
- Transports materials on the shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed.
- Loads trucks using a forklift.
- Performs other clerical duties.
- Additional projects and duties may be assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Computer skills a must
- Ability to Navigate & learn ERP systems
- Familiarity with UPS Worldship, UPS international
- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
- Forklift Experience
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Works well in group environments
- Ability to follow instructions
- Critical thinking and problem solving
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- On-the-job training provided
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to navigate the warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
