SUMMARY
To ship and receive product, cycle/weigh count product as directed and to act as back-up for positions within the Materials Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate forklift, read and follow directions, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
· Ship and receive product to and from the customer.
· Act as a contact for customer/trucking company.
· Keep area in a clean and orderly manner.
· Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
· Cycle/weigh count product as required.
· Provide information for customer requirements and for reporting needs for the operation of the facility.
· Input data using SAP as needed.
· Follow safety regulations at all times.
· Perform safety checks and basic preventative maintenance daily on the forklifts.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Valid fork truck license or ability to obtain one.
· Good communications skills.
· Working knowledge of SAP.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Complete and pass internal fork truck training and testing.
· Knowledge of safety regulations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must have the ability to read and comprehend work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions in English.
· Must have the ability to write simple correspondence in English.
· Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
· Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors, peers, subordinate, carriers, and customers by phone, in writing, and / or in person.
· Must be able to work in a team environment.
· Must possess the ability to maintain accurate records.
· Must pay close attention to detail.
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
· Flexibility and ability to respond quickly to numerous requests and paging announcements.
· Alertness and awareness of surrounding activities in all directions.
