Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe work environment through personal actions. Identify any safety concerns, as well as cost saving opportunities.
- Prepare tallies. Pull inventories from computer. Match inventories to received product. - Add information such as customer number, name, date, product, lot number, etc.
- Compute results of tally. Re-ad box counts, compute net weight, and compute required temperature.
- Contact customer to resolve discrepancies in tally results.
- Maintain correspondence with customers, including receipts, invoices (if required), and tallies. Document all correspondence.
- Aid in answering the telephone, resolving distribution center problems, and providing backup to the warehouse.
- In conjunction with distribution, schedule deliveries.
- Verify all orders and record shipping information.
- Complete shipping orders including necessary labels and stickers.
- Update computer inventory reports.
- Authorize product for shipment.
- Maintain security procedures at dock.
- Resolve customer problems as presented. Track down missing shipments.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, as necessary.
- Other duties as requested.
Working hours: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Skills:
-Warehouse or transportation experience: While not explicitly required, candidates with prior experience in warehouse or transportation operations would have an advantage in understanding the workflow and processes.
-Experienced with Warehouse Management Systems: Familiarity with these systems is preferred as it enhances efficiency in managing inventory and shipping processes.
-Ability to work in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment: Candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and can effectively manage deadlines would be preferred for this role.

-High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one year office experience or equivalent training and experience: This is a basic requirement for the position, indicating educational attainment and some level of office experience.
-Experienced with AS/400 and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel: Proficiency in these software applications is essential for managing shipping documents and maintaining accurate records.
-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals: Basic mathematical skills are necessary for accurately processing shipping documents and inventory counts.
-Ability to use a 10-key calculator: Proficiency with this tool is required for performing calculations accurately and efficiently.
-Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: This interpersonal skill is essential for effective communication with colleagues, resolving conflicts, and maintaining positive working relationships.
