Job Schedule : Full Time – Hourly – 7am – 3:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY
As Receiving Clerk, you will ensure timely and accurate entry of all inventory, prepare and distribute shipping / receiving paperwork, along with other administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage drivers and customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Receive and ensure accuracy of incoming material into the computer system
- Prepare & ensure accuracy of shipping documents such as bill of ladings, loading plans, and material test reports.
- Schedule incoming rail car unloads
- Distribute incoming / outgoing shipping paperwork and tags to shop coordinators and drivers
- Communicate with other departments to resolve issues with deliveries
- Sign and ensure proper signatures of satisfactory deliveries
- Maintain a call off log, driver sign in sheet, incoming and freight logs
- Maintain inventory of materials and supplies
- Scan shipping / receiving documents into the system
- Answer phone calls and solve inquires
- Make appointments and email advanced notifications of deliveries to sales team and customers
- Book LTL shipments & prepare associated paperwork
- Assist in yearly inventory audits
- Assist in the setup of new carriers
Assist managers and shipping coordinator as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient computer, data entry, and internet skills, primarily Windows OS & MS Office Suite
- Basic math skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Previous experience in data entry, receiving, or the steel industry a plus
