Shift Supervisor / Home Health Aide

The Shift Supervisor/Home Health Aide is responsible for assisting the licensed nurse in the delivery of resident care and to coordinate and oversee other HHA staff and their duties with in the facility. Under the direction of the nurse, the Home Health Aide provides medically orientated task(s) to maintain health or to facilitate treatment of an illness or injury provided in a person's place of residence.

Qualifications:

• Must meet and maintain State requirements of a certified Home Health Aide.
• Experience working the long term care setting is favored, but not necessary. Will train the right applicant.
• Completion of on-site orientation program to obtain desired entry level competency.
• Works effectively with general supervision, ability to organize and manage own workload in a busy environment. some independent actions are required.
• Knowledge of resident care plans, and state home care regulations.
• Ability to communicate well with residents and families promoting customer service and respect.
• Must maintain a calm and warm working environment with co-workers.
• Meet the physical job demands of the position.

Hours of Work:

• Days/Evenings/Nocs available. Every other weekend requirement. Full-time and Part-time positions available

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA) / CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you are the heart and soul of our team. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you get to help our senior/elderly residents stay close to home and live with independence and dignity. You do more than just provide medication reminders or assist with meals, light housekeeping, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, errands, and appointments. While those tasks are important, you also provide companionship and socialization, as you support them in visiting with friends, attending events, or working on hobbies.

You make sure that they are mentally stimulated, physically active, and well-nourished, encouraging independence and promoting family involvement as much as possible. You are meticulous about reporting any changes or concerns promptly. In this way, you provide real peace-of-mind for them and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS

• No experience necessary paid training provided.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

WORK SCHEDULE

Our Home Health Aides (HHA) / Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) enjoy a flexible schedule. The typical schedule includes rotating every other weekend and every other holiday. The typical hours are listed below:

• AM shifts 7:00am-3:00pm
• PM shifts 3:00pm-11:00pm
• Overnight shifts 11:00pm-7:00am
