This position is a full-time Shift Supervisor role for our Redwood City, CA Residential Program, which treats adolescents at the residential level of care. This position is responsible for ensuring adequate staffing and scheduling for night and weekend shifts, and will supervise overnight direct care staff.

Job Summary: The Shift Supervisor at Lightfully residential facilities provides direct assistance to program leadership specifically assisting the Program Manager in providing leadership and guidance to Client Care Technicians, Culinary, and Nursing staff, as well as in managing schedules, communications, and reporting. Importantly, the Shift Supervisor serves as the manager for PM Client Care Technicians and will play an integral role in the achievement of program goals and creating and sustaining Lightfully Behavioral Health clinical mission and employee culture.

Major Responsibilities: This list should not be seen as comprising the totality of SS responsibilities, but instead serve as a framework for the general expectations of the role which could be expanded upon as necessary to serve program needs.

  • Upholds and maintains the Company, mission, and values (called the Lightfully "Shining Commitments").
  • Supports clients physical and psychological safety.
  • Provide supervision, support and coaching to employees. Other management activities
    include (but are not limited to):
    o Interviewing, hiring, goal development, onboarding and ensuring continuous
    training requirements and compliance items are met.
    o 1:1 and team meetings to discuss successes, challenges, new projects,
    innovations, company changes, etc.
    o Timely coaching and disciplinary action (delivery and documentation), as needed
    o Completing performance reviews for employees within company designated
    timeframes
    o Maintain employees' timecards in the Payroll system, ensuring the correct hours
    are accounted for, overtime is managed, and paid-time off requests are
    promptly addressed.
  • Oversees operational aspect of assigned programs on nights and weekends.
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation of observations during shifts.
  • Guides, trains, and reviews CCT documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting of program events.
  • Completes and submits program related reporting to program, and senior leadership staff.
  • Coordinates client psychiatric, nursing, case management, and other appointments acting as liaison between LBH departments, and with outside providers.
  • Completes program inventories, and supply orders to ensure sufficient supplies are present for proper program functioning.
  • Assists with the scheduling of CCT, and nursing shifts and fills-in as needed when direct-care staff are not present; Assumes duties of staff who are not present as appropriate to meet program goals.
  • Provides guidance, and leadership to CCT and Nursing staff in a motivational and encouraging fashion with a focus on creating and maintaining an inclusive, collaborative, and welcoming work environment.
  • Coordinates and leads on specific projects as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Conducts client admissions and discharges as outlined by LBH policies and procedures.
  • Supports the activities and programming within LBH apartments providing temporary housing to program participants.
  • Attends meetings and training as assigned ensuring proper documentation and reporting to program leadership.
  • Contributes to a positive, productive, and accepting work environment, treating all staff, and clients with respect, dignity, and empathy.
  • Provides one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis as directed by the clinical team and the client's plan of care.
  • Assists clients with nutritional and dietary needs as indicated. This may include meal and snack assembly.
  • Assists with clients in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner. Seeks assistance of licensed staff when needed.
  • Leads/Co-leads and facilitates groups (as appropriate to licensure)
  • Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor.

Specific Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

General Skills and Requirements:

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to drive company vehicle. Must meet criteria and qualifications of auto policy.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet the qualifications of Facility Manager:
    • One year of full-time experience, or its equivalent, working with children or adolescents (experience shall be verified as having been performed as a paid or volunteer staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of the client group served); OR
    • 2 years experience as a member of the social work staff in a group home performing those duties specified in Section 84065.2(c); OR
    • Completion with a passing grade, from an accredited or approved college or university, of 15 college semester or equivalent quarter units in behavioral science, 9 units of which must be in courses relating to children with behavioral problems which may be the result of abuse, neglect or emotional trauma.

The pay range for this position is $58,660-$72,240 annually.
