The Shift Supervisor is responsible for maximizing production and labor efficiency while ensuring direct reports follow company policies. This position may open/close facility, material handling equipment, and will work near rotating equipment, mechanical conveyors, screens, mixers and power transmission equipment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Monthly Safety training/share safety aspects & policies as part of job assignments.
- Drive housekeeping improvement setting daily goals.
- Support loading or off-loading incoming raw or outgoing finished goods.
- Daily auditing of production rates, product quality, and safety hazards.
- Training until compliance confirmed with policies and procedures.
- Correct deficiencies and poor practices. Eliminate waste in any process.
- Maintain discipline, know your direct reports strengths and set expectations for their growth and development.
- Must communicate adjustments with production manager and scheduler.
- High school diploma
- Mechanical aptitude
- Read a tape measure
- Previous manufacturing experience required (contracting, forklift, Bobcat, etc)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication
- Ability to learn quickly with personal initiative

- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Constant standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, as well as carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling.
- Exposure to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, airborne dust particles, vibrations, and moving mechanical parts.
