Shift Supervisor Dog Boarding and Day Care

Camp Bow Wow located in Oak Park, IL is looking for a full time Shift Supervisor for flexible shifts of mornings and afternoons.

Morning shifts are 6:30- 1:00PM.

Afternoon shifts are 12:45-7:15PM.

Occasional Double shifts are 6:30-7AM - 7:15PM.

The position is full-time (35-40 hours/week). The shift schedule is four weekdays plus one weekend shift.

Good candidates will have crew management experience. Experience working in a kennel, veterinary office or extensive personal dog handing or training skills is a big plus. PLEASE INCLUDE A COVER LETTER EXPLAINING YOUR DOG EXPERIENCE AND HOW YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE APPLIES TO THE JOB REQUIREMENTS.

Requirements

• Experience supervising a small team as a working supervisor, shift lead, or store manager.
• Strong leadership and communication skills. You like communicating and working with people. Extending to other staff members and customers.
• Professional experience working with dogs in a daycare or boarding facility, as a vet tech, or vet assistant is preferred, or extensive personal dog handling/training.
• Ability to prioritize, use time management, and assign tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work one weekend day per week and be available to work on most holidays.
• Reliable and on-time
• Capable of very active and physical work including spending most of the day on your feet, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching. Must be able to lift, transport, and handle 50 pounds.
• Some college preferred. High school graduate or GED required.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
