Job Description
Position Highlights:
- We are hiring for team members who can work 20-40 hours a week
- You will be the leader for your shift, responsible for managing the team and keeping the kitchen running smoothly, and reporting directly to the restaurant manager
- Potential for promotions into leadership positions, raises, and bonuses as you demonstrate excellence in your role and your ability to work well in your team
- You will be cross-trained on all functions in the restaurant to lead shifts and operate the restaurant with a small team and/or on solo shifts. You will be responsible for assembling meals, preparing food, cleaning, operating all equipment, and opening and/or closing the restaurant

Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive, collaborative team environment throughout each shift
- Manage team break schedules according to BFF policy and local regulations
- Assemble meals quickly, consistently, and accurately
- Prep food in large quantities following restaurant recipes
- Maintain knife, food safety, and sanitation safety standards
- Keep restaurant operating with your team food levels on the line and communicate with teammates to ensure adequate stock levels
- Clean and sanitize throughout the restaurant, including regular dishwashing
- Operate ovens, rice cookers, and refrigeration equipment
- Set cook times and temperatures of food in ovens
- Cool and reheat food safely
- Cut vegetables using knives and food processors, marinate proteins, measure ingredients, and operate various kitchen equipment
Required qualifications:
- Able to follow instructions, recipes, and written customer requests with accuracy
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Have a food handlers certificate
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Able to physically move in tight spaces quickly and efficiently
- Able to stand on your feet for 8+ hours
- Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Can handle hot food and knives safely
- Must be comfortable working in a startup environment at times running solo shifts
