Job Description
To assist extruder operators in set-ups and change over and operation of the Extrusion lines, and to read and understand Production orders and forms, assist in monitoring quality, responsible for good housekeeping, available for overtime, duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent Mechanical aptitude.
- Good oral and written communication skills Previous blown film extrusion experience - desired.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safety items and procedures
- Daily production paperwork
- BasiC Extrusion process
- Proper thread-up procedures
- Read and understand co-extrusion production orders
- Calculate order balances
- Responsible for housekeeping in assigned areas
- Quality checks, cutting film samples Treat pattern cheeks with dyne level
- Nip rolls open/close
- Nip roll control speed
- Oscillation unit
- Lay on roll pressure
- Surface roll tension control
- Cut over-flying knife
- Alarm silencer
- Retractor arms
- Hydraulic arms
- Basic understanding of the K-Tron system
- Roll handling procedures
- Basic winder control panel operations
- Able to operate at least 6 extruders Screen Pack change
