Job Title: Facilities Manager Hours: Full time
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
Performs administrative work overseeing daily shelter operations, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the guidance of the Shelter Director. This position is a leadership position. Tasks include:
● overseeing the day-to-day functions of animal care and the program mission which also involves adoptions, lost and found, education and outreach
● performing supervisory and administrative responsibilities
● training and providing technical support to subordinate staff through verbal explanation of policies and procedures and through physical demonstration of proper equipment usage and animal collection and impoundment techniques
● assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and making recommendations for improvements;
● organizing, assigning, and coordinating the work activities of subordinate staff; prioritizing and assigning work duties, coordinating work schedules, conducting evaluations, and participating in the selection and disciplinary process excluding terminations,
● demonstrating proper safety and work procedures to subordinates;
● ensures proper and humane handling of all animals,
● monitors the general health of shelter animals and insures proper medical care, administers and/or oversees the administration of vaccines,
● performing cash audits and monitoring operational requirements
● ensure that employees adhere to law, policies, procedures, and employee expectations
● Any other duties as requested by the Shelter Director
Skills and Qualifications
● Must be able to communicate clearly.
● Must be proficient in English.
● Basic arithmetic, reading and writing skills.
● Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 70 pounds as well as be physically fit and have stamina to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Pre-Requisites
● Honest, responsible and dedicated to keeping the shelter clean and sanitary.
● Understanding how to use basic cleaning equipment and supplies safely.
● Committed to read and observe rules of the agency.
● Ability to coordinate and manage multiple duties.
● Committed to the Mission and Vision of the agency.
● Other tasks, as assigned

Our primary focus is to save dogs and cats from euthanasia throughout Oklahoma. With adoption, enrichment, spaying/neutering and education, our facility strives to provide excellent adoption services and offers a second chance for animals in need. Our vision is to foster positive relationships between animals and people in our work setting and provide constructive community outreach to help promote effective spay/neuter programs and provide resources to those in need.
