Job Description
- Mon-Thur, 6:00am-4:30pm. Friday and Saturday are OT as needed.
- 100% onsite from day one.
- Metatarsals required for first day.
Position Overview:
- Ability to read prints and troubleshoot daily assembly quality issues driving for root cause analysis using 8D principles. Track nonconformance issues through the John Deere corrective action process.
- QE to monitor the factory for quality issues on the production line, root cause and interacting with the operations team for resolution.
- Years of Experience Required: 1-2.
- Should have hands on factory experience inspecting parts, reading prints, and troubleshooting quality related issues.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems analytically.
- Ability to solve problems by determining root cause and driving corrective action.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data.
- Ability to interact with multiple engineering areas to resolve problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize a large number of tasks.
- 8D / Six Sigma.
- Engineering degree.
- Mechanical, or industrial engineering degree - Manager is not open to recent grads. He would like someone to have at least one year of experience.
- B.S. Engineering - Industrial, Ag, Mechanical, Manufacturing.
- Six sigma certifications.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing.
- Background in quality.
