Set-Up/Machine Operator

You notice the particulars others don’t. Nyco Products is on the hunt for a Set-Up/Machine Operator who refuses to settle for good enough. The individual that will join our fast paced team has no issues with accuracy and accountability because you hold yourself to high standards and expect the same from others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot as needed on various production machines for filling and packaging.
• Be able to accurately set-up filling line and adjust lines for different size containers. Including but not limited to rail adjustment, filler head height, fill levels, ink-jet date coders, auto labelers, cappers, re-torquers, and tape machines.

• Provide assistance with the review and revision of Manufacturing Directions and SOPs necessary for the manufacture and packaging of products.
• Maintain all work areas in a well-organized, clean, and tidy manner at all times.

• Comply with all OSHA and plant specific safety policies and procedures at all times, inform management of any safety hazards, and attend all required safety training.
• Follow proper LOTO compliance when working on equipment.

• Appropriately use PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) as required to perform routine and non-routine duties.
• Collect accurate data for reports, charts and KPI's and interpret the data to identify problems and proceed with proper decision making.
• Accurately interpret technical documentation with high attention to detail.
• Assist with executing validation protocols associated with packaging equipment and procedures including revalidation as scheduled or required to maintain systems in a validated state.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Perform work assigned in accordance with company production standards and rates.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area as established by plant policy.

Must adhere to all company safety and health policies.

Utilizes company equipment with proper use and care, notifies maintenance of any equipment needs to ensure safe operation.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
