Position Summary
This position is a lead role in the management of our ServiceNow Platform Security. The individual in this role will lead the roadmap, governance, communication, design, execution, and maintenance of our ServiceNow security initiatives. Liaising with technology teams, process owners and counterparts to inform and partner on our enterprise strategy and manage application sustainment, enhancement, and/or new development.
Reporting to the Lead IT Director, ServiceNow Platform Service Management, this position is critical in supporting the development and implementation of the overall ServiceNow security strategy while operational objectives and strategic business initiatives are met. This role will also have indirect management of technical staff. Including but not limited to being the first point of escalation, prioritizing, and managing assignments from the backlog.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical governance, delivery, communication, maintenance, and prioritization of enhancements, and other responsibilities for ServiceNow security, risk, compliance and platform encryption

  • Partner with the technology, process, and business stakeholders to define, analyze, and document requirements for ServiceNow Platform Security

  • Design and configure ServiceNow security for various modules like ITSM, HRSD, Procurement, ITAM, CMDB

  • Creates and enforces security standards throughout the platform and protects resources in the platform with tools like ACLs

  • Ensures the instance is secure and hardened as needed (domain separation, Edge Encryption, etc.)

  • Audits security logs of the platform and monitor advanced/elevated access in the platform

  • Provide recommendations for security optimization and improvement based on the findings

  • Maintain the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform across production and non-production environments.

  • Performs application maintenance to include performance monitoring and error identification and remediation.

  • Initiates health scans and tracks the remediation of findings.

  • Provides ServiceNow configuration assistance to developers.

  • Secure and encrypt ServiceNow integrations with external systems via REST API, SOAP API, and other integration methods

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide security design in all phases of the project and ongoing operations

  • Conduct security analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

  • Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and enhancements related to encryption, ACL's, roles and other security features

  • Lead a group of developers to support the sustainment of the product along with managing releases and regular business requests utilizing SAFe Agile Methodology.


Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of managing ServiceNow Platform Security projects and configuring the ServiceNow platform.

  • 5+ years of Senior engineer/security owner type roles which involves governance, management, and driving alignment on ServiceNow security

  • Strong knowledge of Platform Security concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

  • Familiarity with platform encryption, ACL's, roles and other security features

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into meaningful security design.

  • Customer obsessed. Experience influencing and consulting while solving business processes and / or technical problems to meet our customers where they are.

  • Program/Project Management or Scrum Master experience with strong skillset in communications, tracking, reporting, risk management, and negotiation skills

  • Experience with securely integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST API, SOAP API, and other methods.

  • Strong problem management skills and ITIL awareness, ability to deliver complex business requirements technically

  • Infrastructure configuration experience across on-premises datacenters, cloud, network, and IT security tools

  • Understanding of ServiceNow CSDM Model

  • Experience working in a SAFe Agile team

  • Experience leading, engaging, and coaching new developers.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic delivery environment with versatility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues successfully and simultaneously.


Nice to haves

  • Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, ITAM (HAM, SAM), ITOM & CMDB.

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow virtual agent/live agent sensitive data handler

  • Experience with Platform encryption and data anonymization

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$120,750.00 - $240,000.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
