About the Service Technician role:
The Service Technician is responsible for assisting with overseeing thephysical property, general maintenance repairs, preventative maintenance, andconstruction or rehabilitation projects for the apartment community. He or shewill handle grounds keeping, onsite amenities upkeep, and will be required torespond to on-call/after hour emergencies. The Service Technician is alsoresponsible for make-ready process in a manner consistent with the propertyasoperational objectives under the supervision of the Lead Service Technician(indirectly) and Community Manager (directly). Additionally, he or she isresponsible for adhering to federal, state and local laws pertaining to FairHousing and OSHA regulations.

Education andExperience:
A High school diploma orequivalent (required)
A 2+ years ofmulti-family maintenance experience or at least 2+ years of commercialmaintenance experience (preferred)
A EPA Sec 608Certification - either a Type I (small appliances) plus Type II (AC's), or TypeUniversal (required)
A Familiar with plumbingrepairs, tile work, HVAC equipment, appliances, carpentry repairs, electricalrepairs and all facets of apartment make-ready.
A Must have reliabletransportation, a valid driver's license and be able to read, write and speakEnglish.
A Ability to standand/or sit for long periods of time, as well as move through the community andmaneuver around equipment, climb ladders for repairs, etc.
A Must be willing to beon-call.
A Must be able to climbup and down a ladder.
A Ability to effectivelycommunicate with tenants and property staff.
A Ability to lift andcarry objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
A Ability to workoccasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
