Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Repair all assigned units correctly, safely, and efficiently.
Accurately document all work performed to each unit on the work order.
Keep work area clean and organized.
Housekeeping of all shop common areas and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Must own and be able to effectively as well as safely use mechanic's tools and equipment.
Possess a working knowledge of individual equipment design and safety requirements.
You must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Ability to communicate effectively on equipment related issues and understand job assignments.
You must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems including (but not limited to) mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
Entry level mechanics need a minimum willingness to learn and ability to understand and perform assigned duties.
A minimum of 2-5 years of experience with a variety of construction, farming tools, and equipment for mid-level mechanics.
A minimum of 10 years of experience with a variety of construction, farming tools, and equipment for seasoned pros.
Experience in tractor field and farming equipment is a plus.
Automotive technicians/mechanics do well. Lots of similarities, just bigger parts and units.
