Jess Ford is seeking Service Technicians for busy service department in our family owned and operated Ford dealership in Omak Wa. Competitive pay plans. Ford Certifications are a bonus but not required and we are willing to train the right person!

Automotive Service Technician Job Summary

We are looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our shop. You will run diagnostic tests and perform repairs and routine maintenance on cars and small trucks. Typical job duties include checking fluid levels, rotating tires, changing oil and other fluids, and replacing batteries and belts. You must also be familiar with steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning systems. We prefer candidates who have extensive automotive repair experience, mechanical skills and are ASE certified.

Automotive Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests
• Test functionality of parts
• Provide labor and time estimates
• Perform repairs
• Complete routine maintenance, including oil changes and automatic transmission fluid exchanges
• Replace or charge car batteries
• Mount and rotate tires
• Document service repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Automotive Service Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 1+ years of automotive repair experience
• ASE certification preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical skills
• Customer service skills
