Service Technician, Field Service Technician, Repair Technician, Equipment Repairman

THE POSITION:
- This job is best suited (but not necessary) for the worker that has a basic education and a general working knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment. Refrigeration and Hot Side Technicians are also tasked with implementing a Planned Maintenance Program, proper time keeping management, and maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair ice machines and accompanying equipment.
- Travel in a safe manor to the job sites inside of the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customers.
- Be available to work occasional nights and weekends to service emergency needs of customers.
- Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting weekly vehicle inspection form, and washing vehicle on a regular basis.
- Maintain proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
- Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice. Obtain payment and customer signature at completion of job.
- Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
- Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
- Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies.
- Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business. (Newer system, service contracts, and additional services).
- Successful completion of a certified HVAC course with appropriate licensing.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
- Able to create and maintain proper maintenance records and work orders.
- Well groomed, neat appearance.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Valid social security number.
- Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company.
- Individually lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional Client or appropriate devices); carry & climb ladders; work from various heights, work in small crawl spaces.
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
- Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required.
- Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Secondary duties including but not limited to, physical inventory, warehouse duties, etc. as deemed necessary by management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Refrigeration, chiller, or freezer repair experience is a huge plus.
- Successful completion of a certified HVAC course with appropriate licensing with 1 year of HVAC is preferred.
- Plumbing experience is a plus.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Able to dispatch from home to 1st service call.
