Service Desk Technician I/Trusted Agent

The Service Desk Technician I/Trusted Agent shall perform computer maintenance, administration and repairs and provide IT assistance (to include help with startup and shut down procedures) to students and instructors experiencing IT problems (such as Server/ Network failures) on the systems contemplated herein as well as their peripheral devices and software components.

 

The Service Desk Technician I/Trusted Agent shall provide direct support to Maneuver Support Center of Excellence Complex, staff, and students as they use information technologies to train our Soldiers to effectively operate this emerging technology and fight the Global War on Terrorism. They shall track detailed information about each customer's service need in an incident management system. They then document their diagnostic steps and communications with the Government customer as they troubleshoot the reported problem. Staff follow-up with all customers to ensure that their needs have been met. The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members at all level across the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence Complex is essential. The candidate shall contact customers to report work order status weekly of computers left at the Walk-in center until work order has been completed.

 

The candidate shall assist in the role of the Common Access Card (CAC) Pin Reset Trusted Agent (CTA) to reset the CAC PIN of all users coming into the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence G-6 Walk-in Center.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A+ certification for Information Assurance Technical Level I (IAT-I) or higher
• Security+ and/or Microsoft MCTS certifications a plus (not required)
• Must be comfortable working within a dynamic work environment
• Should have the ability to self-organize and coordinate resources as needed to complete tasks.
• Prior experience supporting DoD and/or Federal government customers a plus.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication abilities
