Purpose of Job
Our Customer Service Representatives provide excellent Customer Service and first-level technical support for the Doane University community. We provide technology support and general information assistance via phone, web and in-person directly to end-users from our service desk located in the Learning Commons and Service Bureau.
Hours are available during the following times:
Monday – Thursday 8am – 11pm

Saturday 1pm – 5pm
Sunday 2pm – 11pm
General Description and Duties
- Answer the phone in a professional and courteous manner
- Basic connection, printer, and basic computer troubleshooting/maintenance
- Be willing to learn/try something new
- Check email, create tickets with information, and route to the correct technical team
- Interview customers in regards to their issue/request with directed questions
- Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of hardware, software, and peripherals for our students, faculty and staff
- Politely respond to the customer’s problem and convey a resolution either by resolving it at first contact or escalating it to the next level of support
- Provide end user training and support where required
- Schedule installations and service visits
- Unlock AD account/Reset AD password/Walk a customer through the steps
- Use our Ticketing system, Google, and other Tiger Tech software
Special Skills or Knowledge Required
- Active student at Doane University in Crete
- Basic Customer Service Skills
- Microsoft Office knowledge preferred
