Job description
The Service Bartender is responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient service bar. The main responsibility is fulfilling restaurant drink orders from our Point-of-Sale (POS) system. The position also requires a willingness to learn our in-house beer selection and the brewing process. Prior experience dispensing beer, mixing cocktails, and serving non-alcoholic drinks, all while following Company recipes and service policies is necessary. Effective communication and prior experience with restaurant POS systems and software is also required.
Essential Functions
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, and sugar to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Fulfills liquor, wine, draft beer, or bottled beer orders made by Restaurant Servers through POS.
- Assists Servers in bar knowledge when needed (proper glassware, correct garnish, etc.).
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action when necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
- Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
- Maintain adequate supplies of items such as silverware and glassware.
- Serve food to customers when bartender needs assistance.
- Slice and pit fruit used to garnish drinks.
- Stock refrigerating units with wines and bottled beer, and replace empty beer kegs.
Job Requirements
- Must possess a pleasant personality and maintain a neat clean appearance.
- Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company approved uniform.
- Ability to stand during entire 4-8 hour shift
- This job requires the use of hands, arms, and fingers, and the ability to see, hear, read, and speak.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Must have mental and physical stamina to work quickly for long hours.
- Must be have a valid, ANSI-certified food handlers license.
- Must have a valid B.A.S.S.E.T for alcohol certification.
- Must be able to lift and carry 30lbs boxes.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
