- Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writers greet customers and assist them with any inquiries they may have
- Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writers perform vehicle walk around and documentation of customer concerns to enable the Technician to properly diagnose and service the vehicle
- Consult with customer on applicable service specials
- Service Advisors prioritize required services, and be prepared to provide options upon request
- Document declines for services and ask for follow-up on future service considerations
- Keep customer informed on completion times, service expenses, and possible changes
- Service Advisors remain involved with delivery of vehicle to customer upon completion to assure all customer concerns can be addressed. Test drives the vehicle with customer as needed to confirm the problem or refers to test technician
- Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled
- Spend quality time building relationships with the customers
- Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vehicle.
- Schedules service appointments in the appropriate systems
- Obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival
- Greet customers on the service drive in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information
- Refer to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service
- Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications
- Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
- Establish customer's method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary
- Check on the progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed
- Review repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization are noted. Keeps service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date
- Explain completed work and all charges to customers
- Follow the established quality control process to eliminate comebacks

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
