Position Summary:
Serves meals in the Dining Rooms to residents and guests as scheduled.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews menu for scheduled meal prior to serving in order to answer any questions from residents or guests.
- Cleans assigned dining and serving areas prior to meal service and assures that all place settings are complete.
- Assists residents with their menu selections within the established guidelines of the Dietitian and Director of Medical Services; assists guests with selections as needed.
- Notes meal orders and communicates them to the kitchen; services meals to residents and guests as ordered.
- Assures that plates are properly garnished as directed by the Chef.
- Sets, clears, cleans and resets tables as needed and required.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Demonstrates on-going continuing education.
- Knowledge and training to provide excellent meal services to geriatric Residents.
