As a Server/Server Assistant as your primary responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, taking orders, answering questions about the menu and food, selling the restaurant's food and drinks, taking payments, communicating orders with the kitchen staff, and cleaning. Candidates must possess an acute eye for detail, excellent customer service, sound judgment, and the ability to deescalate situations while making our guests feel welcomed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONs:
- Greets all guests with enthusiasm and makes them feel welcome.
- Takes food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Performs opening and closing duties, as needed.
- Assists others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Helps fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma
- Prior fine dining restaurant experience preferred
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Due to the nature of our business applicants should be open to working late evenings, weekends and holidays.
