Table 128 is hiring for skilled service staff who want to do more within the hospitality/service industry. We want people who truly enjoy taking care of guests, want to learn all they can about food and beverage and have the right character to be teachable, positive and willing. We are a small company with long roots in the Des Moines area and will hold hospitality in front of all. We will all work hard and be rewarded in kind.
Position Summary - To put hospitality first and foremost and take care of all guests that come in to dine with us. You are responsible for not only your section, but the overall health of the entire dining room and each other. You will coordinate with the GM and Chef in order to keep communication open to ensure the flow of service remains steady and smooth.
Requirements include but are not limited to
- Keep a positive attitude and always maintain a neat and professional appearance
- Always have a hospitality first mindset
- Keep current on all food and beverage products
- Treat all staff, vendors and guests with respect at all times
- Set up dining room and keep running side work caught up during service
- Assist the bar and host with tasks when needed
- Promote teamwork and camaraderie within the restaurant
- Ensure guests receive all beverages and food within a timely manner
- Perform other job duties when assigned by a Manager or Chef
- Perform weekly and monthly duties when assigned
- Closing down dining room in a timely, efficient and tidy manner
- Setting up your colleagues for success
- The potential for cross training is ideal but not required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years in the Hospitality industry required
- Fine Dining experience preferred
- Excellent multi tasking and time management skills
- Sense of urgency and purpose
- Willing to work a flexible schedule, lunch, dinner and weekends
- A desire to learn and grow, both professionally and personally
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
