Job Description: We are seeking a personable and experienced Bartender and Server with a passion for food, wine, and hospitality to join our front-of-house team. This role will involve both bartending and serving duties, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the property. The ideal candidate will possess strong cocktail composition skills, a deep knowledge of wines, and genuine enthusiasm for creating memorable guest experiences in a fine dining setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails using fresh, local ingredients, adhering to Zero Restaurant's seasonal cocktail program.
- Provide exceptional wine service, including recommendations and pairings, to enhance the dining experience for guests.
- Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and deliver food and beverages promptly with attention to detail and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, answering questions about the menu and making recommendations as needed.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and rotation, to ensure sufficient supplies for service.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house operations.
- Uphold Zero Restaurant's standards of hospitality, providing personalized and attentive service to every guest.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender and server in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting.
- Proficiency in cocktail composition and mixology techniques, with a creative flair for crafting innovative drinks.
- Strong knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, and pairings, to assist guests in making informed selections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and multitask with ease.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate the needs of the property.
- TIPS or similar certification is preferred.
