Nana's of Rockwood is back ! MRK Hospitality (Mateo, Mothers and Sons ) is reopening Scott Howell's classic with new inspiration! Under Chef's Matt Kelly and Nate Garyantes we plan to bring Nana's back to Durham and into a new era. We are seeking enthusiastic and capable servers to join our exceptional team of service leaders. These roles lead in creating the guest’s overall dining experience by providing heightened, prompt, and attentive table service.
Your Responsibilities:
- A Server at Nana's will have an advanced understanding of how to interact with guests and is the main contact for guiding our guests through all aspects of our unique menu and service.
- A server possesses a general knowledge of the wine list, and a thorough understanding of the menu and how the two interact. They are also responsible for knowing all details about our wine pairings, by the glass selections, non-alcoholic options and cocktails.
- A server will support all aspects of the guests’ dining experience and will be in constant communication with service and kitchen team.
- A server will work with a strong attention to detail and follows the activities of their service team and manager to ensure a friendly and casual dining experience.
Your Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience in restaurants, or establishments of similar caliber.
- You must be organized, motivating, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the restaurant in a timely basis.
- Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays). Fortunately we are only open Tuesday -Saturday. Sundays and Mondays are closed company wide.
