We are seeking a talentedWeb Designer to join our Ecommerce team. In this role, you will work closelywith our IT professionals to create visually stunning and user-friendlywebsites that align with our technical requirements and security standards.
This position can be in office (Sarasota, FL), hybrid or remote but we are planning on in-person onboarding in Sarasota, FL for first week of employment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Conceptualize original website design that brings simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and enhance the visibility of the web content
- Apply UX principles to design intuitive and user-friendly website layouts, navigations, and interactions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within IT, including developers and system administrators, and cybersecurity experts to ensure website functionality, security and performance
- Collaborate and be the bridge between the Ecommerce Department and Marketing
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven work experience as a Web Designer (10+ years preferable)
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
- Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and web security standards
- Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a Visual Arts subject
